Frequently Asked Questions
What costs do I have to pay to myGermany?
You pay only one fee once you initiate a parcel shipment! This includes carrier transport costs and myGermany services. You do not pay any monthly or additionally fees.Wen importing outside the EU, import fees (customs tax and duty) may occur. These have to be paid to the carriers, they will handle the invoicing directly with you before you receive the package.
Estimated Costs and Actual Costs are different - Why?
Our total international shipping cost depends upon various factors, which we don’t know definitely until your parcel is in our hands: latest currency rates, latest fuel surcharges and actual weight and size of your package, whereas the latter two define girth measure and dimensional / volumetric weight.
Do I pay the Carriers additionally?
No. You pay us one rate and this includes carriers and our fees already!
Do I need to pay Customs Import Fees?
If you ship in EU you dont have to pay customs fees.If you ship outside the EU your goods may be subject to import tax and customs duty. These costs you have to pay after your package was sent. While the transportation carriers will contact you and handle the customs processes and invoicing directly with you.
What is about VAT Value Added Tax (GST)?
Within EU we charge the 19% VAT.Outside EU the services are without VAT, so no VAT is applied to our services.When it comes to product purchases for Non-EU customers, myGermany can execute it without 19% VAT for you. Please use our Concierge Service entering the Net-Rate only!
